Who this is for

Who we work with.

Health systems, payers, foundations, and corporations: whoever owns innovation, strategy, venture or corporate development.

We work with
✓Health systems & hospitalsRegional, large, and rural, including rural transformation initiatives.
✓Payers & corporate venture groupsStrategy, innovation and venture groups.
✓Foundations & nonprofitsMission-driven healthcare initiatives.
✓Corporations entering or expanding in healthcareIncluding those coming from outside the industry.
Both ends of the spectrum
↖Large institutionsStrengthen a healthcare bench you already have, or lead a specific high-stakes initiative.
↘Small & mid institutionsYou want to pursue innovation and venture but can’t justify a full internal team. We become your outsourced function.

Five sub-tracks. One agenda: yours.

One track, several, or all of them over time. Where you start depends on what’s in front of you: a growth target, a bench gap, or a blank sheet.

01
Venture & Innovation Strategy
Shaping a new healthcare product, venture, or innovation initiative, including product strategy and go-to-market.
02
Healthcare Bench Augmentation
Senior healthcare expertise, plus ongoing access to KOLs and SMEs to inform strategic direction.
03
M&A & Inorganic Growth Advisory
Your target thesis and criteria, potential targets identified and surfaced, warm introductions, and advising on how to approach and think about a deal. Grounded in M&A done from inside hospital systems and IPAs.
04
Innovation Infrastructure Design
Standing up or strengthening an incubator, accelerator, innovation lab, venture arm, or corporate-development function.
05
Outsourced Innovation / Corp-Dev Partnership
We serve as your innovation and venture function, and when you’re ready to build internally, we help recruit and stand up the in-house team.
The signature

We grow with you. Then we step back.

Our incentives are aligned with your growth, not your dependence.

First
Day one, our network is yours.
Our network and our operating experience are yours from the first conversation, then put to work across innovation, venture and corporate development.
→
Then
We turn it into execution.
The strategy becomes work that actually gets done, including recruiting and standing up the internal team you need around it.
→
Ongoing
We step back.
Strategic advisory support as needed.
The investor’s seat
We see the market from the investor’s side of the table.
Live deal flow: what’s getting funded, and which emerging companies are real. Intelligence most institutions simply don’t have access to.
The M&A bright line
We start with what you’re actually trying to accomplish, then work backward.
A target thesis, targets identified and surfaced, and warm introductions into our network. We won’t broker or negotiate terms. And we never take a success fee tied to a deal closing, so nothing we tell you depends on the deal happening.
The HIP.fund relationship
An investor’s view of the market, working for you.
HIP.fund ↗

BAHA Advisory and HIP.fund are related entities built on the same foundation: real experience operating, building, and investing in healthcare. For our enterprise clients, that means your strategy is informed by an operator and active investor’s view of the market: live deal flow, what’s getting funded, and which emerging companies are real. That is not a secondhand perspective. It is the same lens BAHA’s principals use every day running an active venture fund. If we are helping you stand up a venture or innovation function, you are getting it built by people who live in that world.

Where it’s useful to you, that vantage point can extend to surfacing potential partners, targets, or co-investment opportunities, always disclosed, always in service of your goals. Your advisory engagement stands on its own; any investment relationship with HIP.fund is separate and entirely your choice.

What success looks like

Defined by what you’re solving.

A venture or innovation strategy you’re now executing.
Or a completed product and go-to-market strategy for the initiative that mattered.
M&A
A target thesis you’re acting on.
Criteria, a shortlist, and warm introductions: deal thinking you can move on.
Infrastructure
A stood-up innovation function.
An incubator, venture arm, or corp-dev capability that runs.
Team
A recruited internal team.
Your own bench, hired and stood up from our network.
Advisory structure
An activated KOL / SME structure.
The right outside experts, formalized around your direction.
Validated Direction
A trusted senior lens on tap.
Someone who understands your world and helps you confirm you’re on the right path.

Our network runs deeper than the roster.

Fair questions.

Are you a consulting firm? +

No. We sit alongside your leadership as an ongoing strategic advisor. We don’t parachute a project team in, deliver a deck, and leave.

We’re a smaller institution. Is this for us? +

Yes. For small and mid institutions, BAHA can be your outsourced innovation, venture, or corp-dev function, often the most durable relationships we have.

Do you do M&A? +

We start with what you’re trying to accomplish, then work backward: target thesis, target identification, warm introductions, and deal thinking. Brokering, negotiation, valuation, and diligence: no. And never a success fee tied to a deal closing.

How does the HIP.fund relationship work for us? +

Openly and disclosed. BAHA advisors are LPs and investors in HIP.fund, and Samir is a General Partner, so the investor’s seat is a real advantage for enterprise clients: live market intelligence, potential partners and targets surfaced. Any investment relationship is separate and entirely your choice.

Can you help us build our own team? +

Yes, that’s the arc. We serve as the function first, then help recruit and stand up your internal team from our talent network, then step back into lighter ongoing advisory.

What does an engagement cost, and how long does it run? +

Scoped to the work, a defined initiative with milestones or ongoing counsel. Every situation is different; reach out and we can get into specifics.

The first call

Bring the decision.

Bring the decision that’s sitting on your desk. We’ll spend 45 minutes on it and tell you what we’d do and why, then put it in writing within 48 hours.

This isn’t a sales call. It’s not a pitch. It’s a working session on the actual problem, not on introducing ourselves.

What we’ll cover

Real questions past sessions have started with.

  • We have the go-ahead and the budget, but no healthcare bench. Where do we actually start?
  • Build, buy, or partner: the board wants an answer this quarter.
  • We want a venture arm. Do we incubate, co-invest, or acquire our way into one?
  • We’re expected to be acquiring, but we have no real target thesis.
  • We need an innovation strategy before we can decide what to build, buy, or partner on.
  • Our venture arm exists on paper. There’s no real deal flow, no thesis, and nobody internally trusts it.

Rough is fine. Turning it into the real question is our job, not yours.

Before we talk We review what you send us, and anything else you share. We come prepared with a point of view, informed by an operator and active investor’s view of the market, not a blank page.
What you keep A one-page written summary: what we’d do and why, and the risk you’re underweighting, within 48 hours.
How it ends With a recommendation, not a proposal. If working together makes sense after that, let’s talk.
